On Monday, the 21st, the Family Choir Open Class was held, an activity aimed at creating a space where families can come together through music. This initiative offers parents from the school the opportunity to participate in a meaningful and shared activity, using singing as a tool.
The Family Choir began in the 2020 school year with the goal of encouraging family participation in the school environment through music. However, due to the pandemic, the project was interrupted, and it wasn’t until the 2023-2024 school year that it was able to resume. Since its revival, the choir has played a prominent role in several school events, including the Christmas Open Day, the Spring Open Day, as well as significant ceremonies such as communions, confirmations, and graduations.
The main objective of this activity is to create a space where families can not only enjoy music but also get to know each other, share experiences, and strengthen bonds within the school community. The open class held on Monday, the 21st, allowed participants to experience the choir’s dynamics firsthand, rehearse alongside its members, and learn the repertoire prepared for upcoming performances.
The response from families has been very positive, highlighting the emotional and social impact of participating in such an inclusive project. Music, as the central element, not only provides moments of enjoyment and creativity but also reinforces a sense of belonging to the school community, making the Family Choir a point of connection and collaboration, coexistence, solidarity, and a love for music.
