SEK‑El Castillo took part in the Charity Gala in support of Fundación Querer, a non‑profit organisation dedicated to education, research and social awareness relating to children with special educational needs arising from neurodevelopmental disorders and rare diseases. All funds raised during the event were allocated to the foundation’s educational project, Colegio Querer.
The gala was held at the Adolfo Marsillach Theatre Auditorium, bringing together families, students and educators in an evening that combined culture, music and solidarity. As part of the programme, the SEK‑El Castillo orchestra, composed of 14 students, performed several musical pieces jointly with the orchestras of SEK‑Santa Isabel and SEK‑Ciudalcampo, the other two SEK schools in Madrid.
The performance also formed part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Play Music, the SEK Educational Institution’s music school, which over the past decade has promoted artistic learning, musical excellence and meaningful performance experiences for students.
This event highlighted the school’s commitment to a holistic educational approach, where the arts play a key role in fostering expression, cooperation and social contribution. It also reflects SEK’s focus on connecting learning with community engagement, fully aligned with the principles of the SEK Educational Model and the International Baccalaureate.
The participation of the three SEK schools in this charity gala underscores the value of creativity, collaboration and social responsibility as essential pillars of student development.
