Primary School students recently took part in a practical Road Safety Workshop delivered by the Local Police, an activity designed to promote safe and responsible habits in everyday travel.
Throughout the session, pupils had the opportunity to learn about key traffic rules, the importance of respecting road signs, and appropriate behaviour both as pedestrians and as users of different forms of transport. Through age-appropriate, hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, students were able to put into practice essential knowledge to help keep them safe.
The workshop focused on important aspects of prevention, personal responsibility, and respect for the rules that help ensure safe and positive coexistence in public spaces. Police officers also answered students’ questions and shared practical advice on how to move around safely both within and beyond the school environment.
This type of initiative helps bring learning to life by connecting students with real-world situations, supporting the development of skills that enable them to act independently and responsibly in their daily lives.
The collaboration between the school and the Local Police highlights the importance of road safety education as a key tool in fostering responsible citizenship from an early age.
